JP & the Gilberts and Datus pushed off from Greenpoint around 3pm on Saturday, July 24 heading for Gardenville, PA where we played at R.A.T. Gallery along with Meddlesome Meddlesome Meddlesome Bells and All’s Vanity. The drive was the shortest we’d have all week at only about 2.5 hours and we arrived in Gardenville with plenty of time to eat dinner and throw back a few.

The folks at R.A.T. Gallery were wonderful hosts and the crowd was ample and engaged. It was, however, very hot inside. I mean… really hot. By the end of the show I had completely soaked through my shirt and there was a pool of sweat at my feet. I was dripping. That being said, the show was a lot of fun and the other bands sounded great.

Trevor and JP. Nice lazy eye, there, JP.

Meddlesome Meddlesome Meddlesome Bells

Soon after the bands played, Rachele started asking about swimming holes and we eventually ended up swimming under a full moon in the Delaware River. Good call, Rachele.

JP and Tim enjoying the whisky – it didn’t last the night

Stay tuned for more tales from the road. I know that Rachele took some photos of this night. As soon as she takes a break from skeezing to get them developed I’ll add them here.

With warm best wishes,
Alex
