We had an extremely productive full day in the studio yesterday. Arriving at 12pm and leaving at 4am we were able to record instruments and vocals for 13+ songs. Today we’re going to record our remaining tunes and then listen through and fix a vocal here and a guitar there. As productive as we were yesterday, all we have to show you right now is this shaky distorted video of us listening to 20 seconds of Giddy-up. Enjoy!
We were pretty productive last night in the studio. We got all the soundchecking out of the way so we can just come in a start playing this afternoon. Nothing quite like being locked in a room with eight other people for twelve plus hours. Hopefully we’ll all stay cool and not start smelling too bad.
It’s true—I’ve been slacking off on the tour recaps. It looks pretty bad, right? Only doing about half of the tour? I’ll be sure to get on that. I might actually be able to write a few posts in the next few days since we’ll be going into the studio tonight through Thursday to record something like 82 songs with four part harmonies and there’s often a lot of downtime (getting drum sounds or something) making it a perfect time to write blog posts. We’re really excited about this recording and you should be too but don’t stand on ceremony. We can’t really be sure how long it will be until these recordings see the light of day—you know how these things go, so many steps along the way.
