March 2011 Tour

In the Studio

Here are a few photos from our time in the studio in September 2010.

Texas Country / Georgetown, TX / SXSW / Fish Guitar / Atticus, Dripping Springs, TX

We spent a few days in and around Austin where we played a bunch of unofficial SXSW showcases. A huge thank you to Trevor’s Grandparents who let us take over their house and backyard in Georgetown. We made it over to the Rattlesnake Inn to do some music research and were lucky to catch about two hours of Josh Brolin Jason Boland. Great, great playing. First few songs were actually pretty metal.

We also managed to spend some time out in the fields of Georgetown where we left our mark in the form of some stacked rocks.

After a few enjoyable shows in Austin we ended up on a farm in Dripping Springs where JP got to know some of the animals.

Bottletree Cafe, Birmingham, AL

Thanks to the Bottletree Cafe for having us on such short notice. We had a great time playing for you, learning a new card game (Nines), and staying in your Airstreams. We’re looking forward to the next time we’re in town.

Dylan, Knoxville, Tn

Thanks to Dylan and Jess for letting us stay with them in Knoxville.

We Leave in One Week’s Time

Thanks to Gabriel and Liz at Bank Street Films.

First full day in the studio

We had an extremely productive full day in the studio yesterday. Arriving at 12pm and leaving at 4am we were able to record instruments and vocals for 13+ songs. Today we’re going to record our remaining tunes and then listen through and fix a vocal here and a guitar there. As productive as we were yesterday, all we have to show you right now is this shaky distorted video of us listening to 20 seconds of Giddy-up. Enjoy!

Giddyup!

Live at Horizon Records, Greenville, SC.
